What You Want, You’ll Get It Consistency and Patience are the Keys

Mr. Abhishek Khirsagar hails from Nashik. He is a mechanical engineer who worked at Infosys. He is currently pursuing his MBA from IIM Sirmaur. Abhishek has always been curious about machines and automobiles which led him to choose a career in mechanical engineering. Though his current career path is taking a new turn, the roots of mechanical would always stay with him, he added.

Abhishek talked about how one can change his career path even after being a mechanical engineer. Nowadays, there are varied courses that one can pursue even after completing graduation in any field. Abhishek himself was preparing for Masters in Germany during the last year of his graduation. However, as the pandemic turned around, he had to let go of the opportunity. It worked out great for him as his career path totally changed when he joined Infosys and now that he is doing an MBA. He says that life can give you different turns, and one should be flexible enough to adapt.

Mechanical is the core branch of engineering; the other branches have stemmed from it. Abhishek says that learning mechanical engineering would give you the ability to learn anything in life. Students nowadays are running towards new branches more and more, however, the world needs more mechanical engineers, says Abhishek. As the industry is progressing day by day, even mechanical engineers learn a few things about IT as it is required. If someone wants to switch from a career in mechanical, he suggests going for IT as it is very easy to learn and adapt. He experienced this during his training days at Infosys, Mysore.

Every engineer has a great potential to do anything in life and not give up, said Abhishek while talking about the former and later engineers.

He talked about his MBA journey. He got to learn various new and interesting topics. He feels blessed to be learning with the sharpest minds in the country. Though it is a hectic journey now, the fruit of this hard work would be cherished when all students are successful managers. He also talked about his life journey. He learned that manifest something you really want and you’ll get it. Don’t give up in between till you reach your goal.

The message that Abhishek wants to give to the people is that be flexible enough in your life to face the challenges one at a time. Learn to adapt to the situations and don’t quit.

Success for Abhishek is being better than he was before. He does not compete with the world but competes with himself. He believes in keeping short-term goals and achieving them gives him a great deal of satisfaction.

Abhishek appreciates the efforts of The Legit Talks show team. He says that everyone has a journey and everyone can learn from it. Such platforms inspire people to achieve their goals.

Entrepreneurship Teaches you Everything

Women of today are leading in all fields. The guest Ms. Nilakshi Agrawal is one of the leading entrepreneurs who share insight on how being an entrepreneur teaches you everything.

Nilakshi established Businesses of Lucknow, followed by Businesses of India. The purpose of these is to discuss entrepreneurs and their journeys. She conducts interviews with entrepreneurs and discusses their businesses, goods, and services on this platform. She received her Mass Communication degree from Symbiosis and then pursued her MBA. She worked as a management trainee at TATA. Since she came from a business background, she wanted to pursue business.

Nilakshi began with Businesses of Lucknow because she was curious about what was happening in Lucknow at that time. There are numerous people accomplishing extraordinary things, but no one knows about them. These kinds of platforms help people show appreciation.

During the initiation phase, an entrepreneur requires a mentor. Nilakshi asserts that one individual cannot serve as a lifelong mentor. You derive inspiration and motivation from daily occurrences. She was given the very crucial piece of advice that, upon waking, she should decide to do two things that make her happy, in addition to her work. However, she said that when someone gives you advise, you should carefully consider if it is beneficial or bad for you. It is possible that the suggestions will occasionally demotivate you. In such circumstances, have faith and trust in yourself. Continue to remind yourself of the larger picture and your objective.

Working in marketing needs a great deal of patience, as there is always someone with a different perspective on the same topic. Therefore, you must exercise self-control with regard to your manner of conduct and manner of communication with others.

The Legit Talks questioned Ms. Nilakshi on how to launch a business. She emphasised the importance of discovering your passion, as this is the task you will do every day. The second stage would be to manage your finances such that you have sufficient funds for one year. This is because the first year of operation is typically unprofitable. Failure teaches individuals what not to do. Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you fail, but you always gain knowledge. You develop and achieve success through time.

Nilakshi urged all women to pursue entrepreneurial initiatives. The pandemic has taught us that it is possible to start a business from home. As online commerce is hassle-free, a growing number of well-established merchants are embracing it.

Nilakshi is working towards her aim of inspiring and connecting more people. Everyone desires to be successful in life. When we observe someone striving toward their objective, we are inspired. Understanding their journey allows us to learn from their mistakes.

There is no universal definition of a successful entrepreneur. For Nilakshi, success is a daily moment of satisfaction.

Her message to the audience is to take the initial step toward any activity in which you believe you can make a difference. Also, interact with others; you can learn a great deal.

Nilakshi praises The Legit Talks’ efforts. She stated that this is the venue where individuals could speak honestly and inspire others.

Ask Right Questions to Right People

Aakash Naoghare would move to England to pursue a career in Food and Agriculture Development. He studied engineering at Nagpur. Being from a small town, he had little contact with the outside world. After completing his diploma in Metallurgy, he found employment in Nagpur. After that, he began his career in engineering, and in his third year, he was exposed to Nirman and Beejotsav. Following that, he founded his own clothing firm, Akdee Clothing, which prints various fabrics. Aakash has been employed by Beejotsav for eight years. There have been eight National Seed Festivals held in Nagpur, to which people from all across India are invited.

The majority of city residents who pursue jobs such as rikshaw drivers are farmers or farm labourers who earn a minimum wage from farming. As villagers migrate to larger cities, the agricultural system in rural areas is collapsing. Aakash stated that boosting agriculture and liabilities on a local level in communities is essential for resolving the fundamental causes of other socioeconomic difficulties.

The Legit Talks asked Mr. Aakash how they provide consulting services to urban residents. He says that, I advises the government and NGO on how to generate employment possibilities using the available natural resources in order to provide a means of subsistence for the inhabitants of a specific location.

Aakash noted, in reference to farmer’s policy, that according to his definition, the farmer laws should be inclusive and not exclusive to farmers, Agri input companies, or states. The policy should prioritize the requirements of farmers. The state and federal governments should allocate cash at the proper moment, such as during planting season. The government of Chattisgarh came up with a fantastic concept for the farmers. They purchase the manure from cows, transform it into fertiliser, and pay the farmers in cash. This is advantageous for farmers since they can sell their garbage whenever they are in need of cash.

Additionally, Aakash shed insight into the ongoing conflict between farmers and wild animals. In the Indian state of Maharashtra, animals from adjacent jungles are responsible for the deaths of numerous farmers. He said that when formulating rules for the jungle, the state should also take into account the opinions of nearby farmers.

We posed the question of how to contribute to the growth of farmers and agriculture. Aakash suggests beginning with the correct questions at the right time. The majority of people find surface remedies to the problem, while the underlying reason remains unresolved.

Is the Indian economy mostly based on agriculture?  Around 43 percent of employment in India is in the agricultural sector. The agriculture industry contributes 14-15% of the GDP. It is unfortunate to report that agriculture today contributes little to India’s economy. With a growing population, we should have labor-intensive employment opportunities. Five individuals can be replaced by a machine, but what would those five people do? This increases the unemployment rate, Aakash added. Maslow’s theories should be used when developing answers to challenges. Additionally, one should be aware of what is happening around them and not live in a bubble. Aakash is pursuing advanced education in England to work for the government and improve the lives of farmers.

After working with Beejotsav and speaking with farmers, he realized that agriculture dictates the global economy’s general development and politics. However, nobody desires to work in agriculture due to its complexity. This is why we are still a developing country and not a developed country.

Aakash also discussed the rising rate of farmer suicides in Vidarbha. The state does not provide financial assistance to farmers when they are in need but announces a fixed amount of funds to their families upon their passing. Our lives are dependent on farmers, as our food, which is grown by farmers, keeps us alive. However, nobody considers farmers to be an essential component. No one wants to see the actual problems farmers face. According to Mr. Aakash, standing up for actual issues in the agricultural industry demands a strong spine because it can bite you back. Success for him is creating an impact through his efforts.

Mr. Aakash illuminated how climate change affects our lives and how plastic is hazardous to the environment. He also responded to related queries during the session.

His brand, Akdee clothing, focuses on eco-friendly garments that include no plastic in any form. This is what he is doing to help make the planet greener.

Aakash’s message to the audience is that if you start asking the right questions to the right people, you will solve half of your problems.

He enjoys The Legit Talks because it focuses on genuine, unedited interviews with actual individuals. The most remarkable aspect of this program is that it is unscripted and authentic.

A Dream of a Common Girl

Dr. Pallavi Nagdeve completed her bachelor’s degree in dental surgery in India, worked for two years, and is now pursuing a master’s degree in public health in Alabama, United States.

Due to her passion for dentistry and oral surgery, Dr. Pallavi pursued this subject during her internship at a private hospital in India. She expanded her horizons to include non-clinical aspects since she feels more connected to them. As a Medical Investigator, she delivered lectures on lifestyle, ergonomics, and medical crises. The work required frequent travel, which she enjoyed. She moved abroad to pursue more education and new chances.

The Legit Talks spoke about Dr. Pallavi’s struggles in India, to which she delivered a sentimental response. She was reared by her mother alone when her father passed away at a very young age. While others celebrated holidays, Dr. Pallavi sat in her home alone while her mother worked. Her mother is her greatest source of strength and motivation. It was a difficult choice for Dr. Pallavi to leave her in India and move to another nation. However, as usual, her mother encouraged her. Her mother is also cared after by her brother.

The job route we take is mostly determined by our primary interests. Dr. Pallavi selected public health because she enjoyed and excelled at it in her prior position. The education system in the United States affords her the opportunity to investigate her topic of interest in more depth. She had the choice to select from a number of subjects.

Speaking about the future of her industry, Dr. Pallavi told The Legit Talks that chances for public health services are better outside of India. In addition to having a variety of possibilities to pick from, the potential for job advancement in foreign countries is rather great.

In dentistry, there are few postgraduate specialisations. Dr. Pallavi investigated the clinical and non-clinical elements of dentistry before making a decision. According to Dr. Pallavi, many international students enrol in public health courses before moving on to dental school. She intends to seek a PhD after completing her current coursework.

Dr. Pallavi discussed how she manifested her public health career. During her internship, she began her investigation into jobs in public health. Nevertheless, it was a difficult decision to study overseas given the current economic climate and the lack of information about how things will turn out. The pandemic then halted all activity for about a year. Dr. Pallavi did not give up, manifesting that she would pursue a career in public health services and beginning her journey in 2021.

The Legit Talks questioned Dr. Pallavi about her greatest accomplishments, and she said that she still has more to accomplish. However, she discussed her struggles since childhood. Her father passed away when she was in sixth grade. It was difficult for her, and she became depressed as a result. Doctors advised her mother and teachers not to force her to study and to let her to recover at her own speed. She gradually emerged from her despair and passed her board exams. She completed all of her academics alone and was never dependent on anyone else. Dr. Pallavi viewed each advancement as a stepping stone. It gives her great pleasure to bring gifts to her loved ones, particularly her mother and brother. This is her biggest achievement.

Dr. Pallavi thinks that everyone should pursue their dreams. There will always be those who say you cannot do something. Ignore their advice and pursue your dreams.

Dr. Pallavi wishes to convey to the audience that if they wish to study abroad, they must maintain concentration and not lose their way. Research every aspect of the career, including the application procedure. It is difficult to maintain motivation in challenging circumstances, but you can motivate yourself.

Dr. Pallavi appreciated The Legit Talks Show team’s efforts and praised the show’s focus on the experiences of ordinary people. Everyone has their own narrative, and when these experiences are shared on a publicly available platform, it inspires others.

Psychiatry 101 with Dr. Pritisha

Dr. Pritisha Saxena is a psychiatric consultant in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She was fascinated with psychiatry because of how marvelously the brain functions and what it is capable of.

The Legit Talks inquired about the history of psychology and the necessity of it in our daily lives. According to Dr. Pritisha, people all across the world associate mental illness with evil spirits. In the middle of the 19th century, a revolution occurred when individuals realized that psychiatry had to do with the human mind and not just the organ and that the mind is affected by culture, environment, and interpersonal problems. Since then, there has been a great deal of research and development in the discipline of psychiatry.

Dr. Pritisha claims that she does not let her personal life affect her career or vice versa while discussing work-life balance. However, she performs sessions that are traumatic to hear for her as a psychiatrist, but after the session is over, she is isolated from the situation. She simply visits the patient’s case before the next appointment. In order to aid her patients, she must be in good mental health.

Dr. Pritisha discussed how people have inaccurate ideas about those who visit a psychiatrist. It appears acceptable for patients with severe psychotic symptoms. People presume that individuals who appear normal on the outside but are mentally ill are lazy. In contrast to kidney stones or any other disease of a similar nature, it is impossible to present a certificate regarding a patient’s mental illness, despite the progress of science.

The patient undergoes a physical examination first, followed by a mental evaluation. Dr. Pritisha said to The Legit Talks that the patient’s brain is affected as a whole, not just a portion. She also discussed how the amygdala is responsible for the brain’s flight-or-fight response.

It is difficult to pinpoint where in the brain memory is stored or where emotions originate. There are still brain-related topics for which science has no explanation. Dr. Pritisha stated that people who accomplish a great deal in life have well-defined priorities and routines, as well as control over their sleep and food intake. It requires training your brain to focus on positive rather than negative thoughts.

Dr. Pritisha was questioned by Legit Talks regarding generational trauma. She stated that women face the most generational trauma when they reach reproductive age, particularly in India. Women in India avoid healthy sexual relationships because they are unaware of their bodies and menstruation is regarded as filthy. In the majority of India, the situation has not changed for the vast majority of the population.

Dr. Pritisha stated that individuals should not view treatment as a sign of weakness or insanity and urged them to seek assistance if necessary.

The Legit Talks inquired about wishful thinking with the guest. Dr. Pritisha stated that if a patient does not perceive things as they are, such as calling an apple a banana, he or she has a mental disorder. It may be the result of illusion, hallucination, or color blindness.

Dr. Pritisha answered concerns regarding indecisiveness, and anxiety, and how anticipating future events causes indecisiveness. She also discussed how toxic relationships ruin us and how much more vital personal relationships are. If childhood traumas are not healed, individuals are generally stuck in a loop of toxic relationships as they seek love in a partner. She also responded to queries regarding toxic parents, stating that it is acceptable to dislike some undesirable characteristics of one’s parents. During the discussion, similar questions were also addressed.

Dr. Pritisha believes that it is important to discuss things that people are often hesitant to discuss, and The Legit Talks is one such platform.

That is Why Believing in Yourself Makes all the Difference

Dr. Anuradha Makhe is a dentist who completed her education in 2000 at Government College, Nagpur. She had her practice but later moved to Hyderabad following her marriage. She also moved to the United States for one and a half years but was unable to legally operate there. Therefore, she visited a local Indian dentist to observe and research how dentistry is practiced abroad. She returned to Hyderabad and began working at the local clinic. Ten years of her career were unstable. In 2008, she went to Pune to pursue a PGDHM course. A college gave her a temporary teaching position. She later joined a couple of clinics and maintained her teaching position. Eventually, she quit her job at the clinic and resumed teaching, her true passion.

During the pandemic lockdown, it was challenging for Dr. Anuradha to juggle both online teaching and home responsibilities. She had difficulty setting up the system and grasping new technology. The cooperation of students and other teachers helped her a lot. However, she was unable to find fulfillment in teaching because she had little personal interaction with her students. Permission was obtained for hospital visits for the following batch of students, easing the situation.

The Legit Talks questioned her about career paths, to which Dr. Anuradha responded that there is no right or wrong answer; you do what you believe to be correct at the moment. She gave an example of how she went from studying dentistry to teaching non-dental subjects. Being a teacher provides her with greater job satisfaction than being a dentist. She stated that sometimes career paths are determined by current situations and circumstances. And later, if you think this is not the right path, you can change. To progress in any profession, one must devote a sufficient amount of time to figuring things out. Dr. Anuradha emphasized that students now have numerous options, which they should freely explore.

However, Dr. Anuradha said, students may be confused by the number of new career options. One must first understand the scope of the stream before making a decision. To become a professional in any field, you must devote time, dedication, and enthusiasm. Then and only then can you achieve success, says Dr. Anuradha.

Women face the most difficulties when multitasking. It becomes tough for individuals to balance household duties with a career. Due to these responsibilities, women are typically more scattered in all directions. When making decisions concerning home and jobs, women experience guilt and dilemmas as well.

Dr. Anuradha inspires the audience by stating that they should first believe in themselves, take responsibility for their actions, and always remember that they have a choice.

Listen To Your Mind and Keep Reinventing Yourself

Dr. Shweta Thakkar is a dentist by profession, a blogger, and a resin artist. She considers dentistry to be an art form in its own way.

Dr. Shweta always had an interest in food blogging, but the passion intensified while she was in Ahmedabad. There were plenty of opportunities, but she lacked the confidence to start a food blog. However, she began her efforts, and her blog already has more than 5,000 subscribers within a year. Since then, she has been active on her blog and has attempted to post daily updates.

The Legit Talks asked the guest about how bloggers collaborate with brands. Dr. Shweta replied that some brands partner and provide free merchandise, while others do not pay anything. She now prefers to partner with brands that are beneficial to her, even if she is not compensated. Collaboration is difficult with certain brands and easy with others, she added.

She then began instructing those around her. After that, she launched her resin art page, through which she later began online teaching and the page grew. She also led a session for children, which she truly loved despite its difficulty. Dr. Shweta observed that when the resin is used to create art, a unique and beautiful product is produced. Right things to Optimize for Career After College

Mr. Sagar Daliya is an electronics engineer from BITS, Pilani. During his graduation, he also pursued a variety of courses that lead him to excellent employment chances. Later, he realised he was unhappy there, so he began working as a Growth Manager at YourPhysio. He desired to explore the startup environment, and the opportunity presented itself. He had previously completed internships at Amazon, Samsung, and YourPhysio.

Sagar, who came from an established business background, desired to create his own business. The concept of what to construct is unclear to him. He stated that working at such businesses and gaining knowledge of the work culture is a stepping stone to establishing his own business.

Sagar’s greatest concern as he transitioned to a startup was whether or not he would be able to make an effect where he worked. According to him, now is the time to prioritize education wherever you are. Pursuing wealth will not impart knowledge.

Sagar stated that there is no ideal time to make a job change. He advised that if you are unhappy with what you are doing or have a strong interest in anything different, you should pursue it. Sagar described the Indian education system as a pyramid. Beginning with the fundamentals, education provides a choice of possibilities. Then, in eleventh and twelfth grade, you select a field of study. Then you pursue your bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. You develop a resistance to a particular field since you believe this is what you enjoy. One must overcome his reluctance and evaluate his genuine interests.

The Legit Talks questioned Mr. Sagar on the necessary growth components. He highlighted that progress is both an art and a science. The science of growth entails dissecting a larger problem into smaller, more manageable bits that lead to a solution. The art of growth can be characterized as bridging the gap between a company’s core values and its users’ core values. Sagar also responded to queries regarding the 10th grade and college life.

He discussed the significance of acquiring skills and abilities. Identifying these two components is essential for growth. Identify your passion first, then build your skill set around it. Prioritize what you wish to do, and your skill set will assist you in doing so. Connect with individuals who share your interests and examine the skill sets they are cultivating. Continue to explore your hobbies from an early age. These experiments involve taking a class, meeting new people, and obtaining employment. Sagar also discussed how hobbies can be transformed into profitable businesses.

Sagar emphasized financial literacy. One should analyze their financial requirements and spend accordingly. In addition, he recommended books about money, such as Psychology of money and Money Talks.

Sagar’s intended message to the audience is that there is no right or wrong way to change careers. Determine what is most important to you and create an action plan accordingly.

He Sagar praised the work of The Legit Talks, stating that the most effective method of education is to learn from others’ experiences.

Help The Speechless of All Kinds

Dr. Anju Waghmare is a veterinarian who serves as an assistant manager for a private corporation. She also worked in the central government for nearly a year but left to pursue greater possibilities in the private sector.

She believes that our educational experiences shape our future. She was more engaged in extracurricular activities when she was in school. Her participation in debating tournaments since childhood has contributed to her personal development. She also composed a play that was performed at the division level. Five years of her college life were spent in Parbhani. She pursued her master’s degree in animal nutrition. She noted that the percentage of women applying to veterinary school is higher than that of men, which is positive.

When working in a clinic, emergencies might arise at any time, day or night. Therefore, doctors must be present in times of emergency. People have increased their awareness of animals. For example, if they spot an injured bird, they transport it quickly to the rescue centre. However, when a wild animal inadvertently enters human society, a large crowd forms and the animal becomes frightened. Occasionally, these creatures also suffer shock. Veterinarians treat these animals. Dr. Anju provided a list of Instagram accounts for centers, including Wildlife Rescue.

People who know nothing about being a veterinarian also want to participate. Such persons can volunteer at rescue centres. Necessary to have the order to help the mute; you may contribute in a variety of ways, such as saving animals from danger, managing them, and feeding them. However, only a trained veterinarian should administer treatment, explains Dr. Anju.

The Legit Talks inquired how Dr. Anju’s speaking abilities have affected her life. She said that it had boosted her confidence and given her strength. In addition, she underlined its significance during the interview process. When owners bring their pets to the clinic, they are frequently anxious about their pets’ health. Dr. Anju uses her communication abilities to reassure pet owners that their animals are healthy. Dr. Anju considers factors such as the use of words, the tone of communication, and the manner of speech when she speaks. Conversation with different people aids in the improvement of communication abilities.

Dr. Anju described how special it is to work in a veterinary clinic since she is saving the lives of the speechless. Humans can verbalize their suffering, however, animals cannot, making their lives more difficult. Dr. Anju also discussed her experience treating a dog with cancer while working at the clinic. It offered her a very fulfilling experience.

People frequently encounter fraudulent doctors, who have not pursued the degree but practice in clinics. People file complaints against such doctors. Dr. Anju recommends going to a government hospital to avoid these fraudulent doctors. Some rescue centers and non-governmental organisations are also frauds since they collect funds but do not give services.

Dr. Anju talked about the career prospects of being a vet. She said that it is not necessary to earn a master’s degree to begin a career in veterinary medicine; a bachelor’s degree is sufficient. Those who wish to become professors can get a master’s degree and a doctorate. After receiving the degree, it is possible to open a private clinic. One can even join the rescue center as a veterinarian. There are also opportunities to serve as a consultant, veterinarian, or assistant director at autonomous institutes under the ministry’s authority. Those with expertise in animal nutrition can market feed meals for their goods.

The lifestyle of people is changing, they are learning more about the environment, rescuing animals, and helping the speechless. People are also preferring to go vegan and vegetarian. This one choice has a greater effect on the ecosystem.

To save animals, the discipline of veterinary requires more devotion from veterinarians. To save an injured animal or an animal in danger, they must possess a great deal of empathy. A doctor must also possess a kind attitude toward animals.

Dr. Anju describes her college experience when she was studying to become a veterinarian. She was first hesitant, but her interest grew in third and fourth grade. She understood that this field is better than the MBBS. As a veterinarian, Dr. Anju advises the audience to be more compassionate and empathic towards animals. Helping animals is like helping God.

Dr. Anju is an ardent fan of The Legit Talks. She appreciates the variety of issues discussed on India’s most popular talk show. “Keep expanding, keep gleaming”, stated Dr. Anju.
