Mr. Sagar Daliya is an electronics engineer from BITS, Pilani. During his graduation, he also pursued a variety of courses that lead him to excellent employment chances. Later, he realised he was unhappy there, so he began working as a Growth Manager at YourPhysio. He desired to explore the startup environment, and the opportunity presented itself. He had previously completed internships at Amazon, Samsung, and YourPhysio.
Sagar, who came from an established business background, desired to create his own business. The concept of what to construct is unclear to him. He stated that working at such businesses and gaining knowledge of the work culture is a stepping stone to establishing his own business.
Sagar’s greatest concern as he transitioned to a startup was whether or not he would be able to make an effect where he worked. According to him, now is the time to prioritize education wherever you are. Pursuing wealth will not impart knowledge.
Sagar stated that there is no ideal time to make a job change. He advised that if you are unhappy with what you are doing or have a strong interest in anything different, you should pursue it. Sagar described the Indian education system as a pyramid. Beginning with the fundamentals, education provides a choice of possibilities. Then, in eleventh and twelfth grade, you select a field of study. Then you pursue your bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. You develop a resistance to a particular field since you believe this is what you enjoy. One must overcome his reluctance and evaluate his genuine interests.
The Legit Talks questioned Mr. Sagar on the necessary growth components. He highlighted that progress is both an art and a science. The science of growth entails dissecting a larger problem into smaller, more manageable bits that lead to a solution. The art of growth can be characterized as bridging the gap between a company’s core values and its users’ core values. Sagar also responded to queries regarding the 10th grade and college life.
He discussed the significance of acquiring skills and abilities. Identifying these two components is essential for growth. Identify your passion first, then build your skill set around it. Prioritize what you wish to do, and your skill set will assist you in doing so. Connect with individuals who share your interests and examine the skill sets they are cultivating. Continue to explore your hobbies from an early age. These experiments involve taking a class, meeting new people, and obtaining employment. Sagar also discussed how hobbies can be transformed into profitable businesses.
Sagar emphasized financial literacy. One should analyze their financial requirements and spend accordingly. In addition, he recommended books about money, such as Psychology of money and Money Talks.
Sagar’s intended message to the audience is that there is no right or wrong way to change careers. Determine what is most important to you and create an action plan accordingly.
He Sagar praised the work of The Legit Talks, stating that the most effective method of education is to learn from others’ experiences.
